cecyll loBue

Intern Therapist

Cecyll LoBue is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern supervised by Sam Bryant, LPC. She is a graduate student at Divine Mercy University in Sterling, VA. She holds a Bachelor of Science cum laude degree in Biology from Saint Mary’s College of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN.

Prior to counseling, Cecyll worked in the corporate and nonprofit sectors. She served in various local charities, schools, and ministries. These experiences combined with living in 2 countries and 6 states prepared her to work with people from all walks of life with a broad range of personal challenges.

Cecyll’s therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and grounded in the Catholic Christian Meta‑Model of the Person (CCMMP), which integrates insights from psychology, Christian philosophy, and Catholic theology. She wants clients to know their worth lies not in their actions but in who they are—created in the image of God, made for love, and deserving of dignity.

As a therapist, she sees her role as accompanying the client on a pilgrimage towards flourishing, walking alongside people in their pursuit of becoming authentically joyful, whole, and in nourishing relationships with others. This holistic approach considers all aspects of the person. Treatment varies by client but may include cognitive behavioral therapy, somatic therapy, emotionally focused therapy, and prayer. She works with people of all ages.

Cecyll has been married for 29 years to her college sweetheart and feels privileged to have raised their children. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, cooking with her kids, kickboxing, and watching flowers grow.
