EMily Babcock, LAC

Throughout this time, and still today, Emily has been an active member of various community ministries, including bible studies, church choirs, and retreats.

As a counselor, Emily's style is warm, accepting, and authentic. Her intention in every moment is to truly see and hear the person in front of her, without judgment, and to create a space where they feel safe. Emily is consistently affirming the inherent goodness within each person, and at the same time, is willing to empathetically challenge clients' perspectives in a spirit of compassion and courage. For Emily, walking side by side with clients on their journeys of healing is the greatest honor!

Catholicism informs Emily's view of the human person-- she believes that we are all made by love and for love and that we are each a unique individual with dignity and worthy of respect. She trusts that God has a loving plan for the growth and flourishing of each of her clients!

Emily specializes in adolescents and young adults, as well as life transitions, anxiety, and depression. She uses a core of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, blended with Solutions-Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy (individualized to each client's needs). Her approach is rooted in a strengths-based, Positive Psychology lens.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys creative projects such as painting, writing, and learning to play guitar. She's always happy to get outside and soak in the beauty of creation, and loves spending quality time cultivating friendships new and old!
