Akunna Osondu, LAC
LICENSED ASSOCIATE COUNSELOR
Akunna holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Franciscan University of Steubenville, with a concentration in crisis and trauma counseling. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals experiencing substance use challenges, providing parenting education, and offering career development counseling to clients across diverse age groups. Her training reflects a commitment to evidence‑based practice and a deep respect for the complexity of each client’s lived experience.
In addition to her clinical background, Akunna brings more than two decades of experience practicing law, a career that has strengthened her analytical skills, professional judgment, and capacity to support individuals navigating difficult life circumstances. For over twenty years, she has also mentored individuals and couples seeking guidance in integrating their Christian faith into daily life. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Christian Philosophy and is currently completing a bachelor’s degree in Theology, further enriching her understanding of the human person and the spiritual dimensions of well‑being.
Akunna is known for her insightful, empathetic, and calming presence, which allows her to provide individualized and compassionate care. Her professional purpose is to use her knowledge, skills, and gifts to help clients recognize their inherent dignity and discover their unique place within God’s plan.
Beyond her clinical and legal work, Akunna has spent 30 years in the hotel and hospitality industry, cultivating a strong appreciation for service, hospitality, and human connection. She enjoys cooking and baking, spending time in nature, meeting new people and discovering new places, sharing meaningful moments with family and friends, reading, singing, and dancing.
