Marietta Harris, LAMFT

Licensed Associate marriage & Family Therapist

Marietta received her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary and her Bachelors in the Liberal Arts from Thomas Aquinas College. She is currently under the supervision of Samuel Bryant, LPC to complete her independent licensure.

During her four years teaching at St. Mary’s Catholic High School, Marietta felt the call to cultivate God’s peace in families through counseling work. Marietta sees the counseling process as an opening for grace and for healing, and is committed to empowering families with the necessary tools to care for their mental health and deepen their relationships. She utilizes her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy to help her clients see effective change in their lives.

Marietta has enjoyed working with teens, young adults, and their families for over 8 years, and has walked with those in recovery from addiction, abuse, anger, and anxiety during her time at Phoenix Rescue Mission and Celebrate Recovery. She has a special passion for working with those affected by the grief and trauma of abortion, and is currently in training to lead Rachel’s Vineyard retreats for post-abortion healing.

Marietta believes that God desires healing for each one of us, and accompanies her clients with the awareness that suffering is never simple, but neither is it hopeless. In her free time, Marietta enjoys sitting around campfires, arguing about books with her husband and friends, and watching her 1-year-old daughter discover the world.
